Threaded Optic - Vaseline Rose Bowl, Circa Victorian Period

Color of Bowl:  Yellow green, Vaseline 

Glass Type: Transparent Vaseline    

Bowl:  Squat Spherical shaped with 8 inward crimps on rim, concaved bottom with fully ground pontil with convex interior of bowl.  The rose bowl has an outwardly flared collar maire base.  This rose bowl was blown into a two piece spot optic mold.  The bowl has 25 vertical internal optic panels.   

Decoration:  Internal optic, two external ridges surrounding the circumference of the rose bowl slightly below the crimp area.  Opalescent glass has been applied to the crimp area.   

Dimension: 3.50” height by 4.50” wide.  Bowl opening 2.25”  

Glass House: Unknown, thought to be English.

Region of Manufacture: General accepted as English produced.

Estimated Date of Manufacture:  Victorian Period

Condition:  Excellent overall condition. 

Overall opinion:  Nice high quality Victorian rose bowl.
