Bowl:
The Spherical shape bowl has an embossed or blown-out, shell pattern
which reoccur five times on the circumference of the bowl. A seaweed
structure appears between each juncture of the shells. The bowl has 8 upward and
inward crimps on rim, with a flat to semi concaved bottom with ground
pontil and convex interior of bowl.
Decoration:
These rose
bowls go from plain undercoated to elaborately and beautifully enamel
decorated Rose Bowls. Decorating motif usually consists of flowers
vines and leaves. The Victorian
Fleur De Lis pattern is
also used. Less often found with the use of enameled ribbons and
metalized enamels.
