 Variant Honeycomb Glass Rose Bowl, Circa 1904 - 1909

Color of Bowl:  Clear   

Glass Type: Transparent Clear glass with an over application of ruby frit.  The rose bowl also has an application of amber and clear frit in vertical bands running from the bottom to the top of the rose bowl, around the entire rose bowl.  The Frit gives the appearance of golden color to the bands. 

Bowl:  Honeycomb external optic patterned, round globe shaped bowl with a collar base (marie).  No crimps on rim.  Bowl also has a collar base (marie) flat bottom to slight concave where pontil rod was attached.  Bowl has a slight convex interior, in the collar base area.  Bowl also exhibits internal optic, vertical bands under the silver oxidized frit.  Vertical bands are not external.         

Decoration:  None except for frit treatment to exterior of the rose bowl.  The rose bowl also has an application of amber and clear frit in vertical bands running from the bottom to the top of the rose bowl, around the entire rose bowl.  The Frit gives the appearance of golden color to the bands.  The frit was not completely warmed in, giving and external texture to frit bands.

Dimension:  3.75” height by 4.25” wide.  Bowl opening 1.75”.
